The Standing Committee for the Delivery of Legal Services of the State Bar of California recently awarded a pro bono project that provides free workshops for low and middle income citizens accessing the small claims courts with a Distinguished Pro Bono Service award for its impact in 2011.  A team of attorneys from Selman Breitman LLP volunteer in this ongoing pro bono project in collaboration with the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Bet Tzedek, HIV & AIDS Legal Services Alliance, the Center for Civic Mediation (formerly Dispute Resolution Services), and other law firms.  Southwestern Law School is the host organization for the project.
