Monica Cruz Thornton specializes in Intellectual Property, Employment Law, Professional Liability and defense of General Liability, Construction Defect, Products Liability and Toxic Tort claims.  General litigation claims encompass premises and personal injury claims of which Ms. Thornton has jury trial experience.  Intellectual Property matters include trademark, trade dress, copyright and trade secret litigation.  In the area of Employment Law, Ms. Thornton handles wrongful termination and sexual harassment matters, including claims of discrimination.  Ms. Thornton also specializes in general business litigation, which includes a wide variety of business disputes such as breach of contract, defamation, trade libel, trade secret and business interference claims.  Ms. Thornton is conversant with professional liability litigation, including the defense of insurance agents/brokers and real estate agents.

Ms. Thornton graduated with honors from the University of California at Irvine as a Phi Beta Kappa member.  She graduated from the University of California at Davis King Hall School of Law in 1987.  Ms. Thornton is licensed to practice law before all the State courts of California and the Federal Northern, Eastern, Central, and Southern Districts.  She is admitted to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
